Discover Rowing, Kayak Canoe and SUP

We at LYR are offering adults ways to try rowing and learn to row at the best Olympic venue ever created, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park: ///life.effort.crew

LYR is a charity who work with disadvantaged communities in London and Leeds, and through rowing we help make them more confident and motivated to succeed in their chosen path. These courses will help us fund our important work to make a difference.

The boat you’ll use is a beautiful traditional 8 oared boat, called the Ada Salter; like the boat in the picture below, large, stable and perfect for an introduction to rowing. Ada herself was an inspirational woman from the turn of the century, a social reformer, environmentalist and the first woman mayor of London.

We can offer a full day or half day for corporate team building on the Olympic Park.  Rowing would feature for half of the time and we will arrange a break out space where we'll follow up with a talk focused on rowing and the fundamentals on why it's the ultimate team sport. You would then have time to reflect on this and work new ideas and methods into your own processes and culture at work.

Please click through the contact us button to email us directly with your request.
