Putting your name down is, in itself, a strong signal that we’re doing a good thing for rowing and the young people we work with. And it is a great motivation to the young people knowing they have a long list of people behind them and supporting their progression.
There is no cost to this, and you will receive our quarterly newsletter with updates and opportunities to get involved in some of the fun events we run. You’ll also get priority access to Race the Thames, and our volunteering opportunities.
Our programmes rely on dedicated coaches who have the enormous task of connecting with schools, breaking down the perceived barrier to rowing, before then setting up sessions in the schools to start a young person journey in rowing. Being able to present that great opportunity ultimately does come down to money – so thank you for directly funding our programme!
You will receive our quarterly newsletter with updates and opportunities to get involved in some of the fun events we run. You’ll also get priority access to Race the Thames and the Centurion Challenge, and to our volunteering opportunities if you wish. You get to wear LYR with our Local Hero T-shirt. And finally we invite you to make a personal Life Skills video, which will be delivered to thousands of young people who are part of our Active Row programme.
An experienced inclusion session coach costs £15 per hour. Your commitment will enable us to motivate and inspire a group of over 20 young people who would otherwise be left out of sport. This level of support goes a huge way to making a real impact in communities in London and Leeds. You will receive access to discounts from our partners, coming soon, as well as our quarterly newsletter with updates and opportunities to get involved in some of the fun events we run.
