Talent Inclusion

The LYR Talent Inclusion Programme, launched in September 2021, builds on LYR’s mission to create accessible pathways from school to lifelong participation in rowing. The programme establishes a network of LYR Open Clubs across the country — weekly, youth club-style sessions designed to help young people transition from our Active Row school programmes to rowing in the wider community. These clubs foster confidence, belonging, and progression in a supportive environment. Together, they feed into the LYR Boat Club, a new water sports club founded on inclusion, ensuring that every young person, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to stay active and engaged on the water.
