Rowing

London Youth Rowing are a bunch of very enthusiastic, highly qualified and experienced rowing coaches who want to encourage young people from across Greater London to get involved in rowing.

We are based at the London Regatta Centre, Docklands but have established strong links with the Lea Rowing Club, Hackney and the Barn Elms Boat House in Wandsworth. These new links have enabled us to provide indoor, tank and on the water rowing opportunities to many more people than before. It also means that you won't have to travel too far to get to your nearest London Youth Rowing centre.

As mentioned, both the London Regatta Centre and the Barn Elms Boat House have their own indoor rowing tanks. These enable the instructors to fine tune your technique and training before you get out onto the water.

The River Lea is very peaceful stretch of water and is ideally suited to the task of teaching novices and the more advanced athletes alike. There is a tow-path that runs along the side of the river for the full length, allowing the coaches to follow crews from the bank and in launches when necessary.

Rowing and Sculling are great fun sports, and once you start, you will be hooked - everyone enjoys messing about on the water - why do you think that the coaches love their jobs so much!
