LYR is delighted to announce the launch of Row East London! (RoEL) a ground-breaking initiative for young people in the 10 East London Olympic and Gateway boroughs to significantly improve fitness, health and well-being.

RoEL  will be introduced in at least 50% schools and a large number of youth clubs in the ten boroughs, and will encourage thousands, including those with disabilities, to take part in an exciting programme of regular physical activity.  The initiative will also strongly promote pathways to on-water rowing and other sports.

See the press-release for more about RoEL.

sportsenglandLYR is very grateful to Sport England; The McGrath Trust; The Weston Foundation; Amateur Rowing Association (ARA); Pro-Active East; Tower Hamlets NHS PCT; The Royal Docks Trust;  The Drapers’ Company; Metropolitan Police; and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, as well as many other organisations that have provided in-kind contributions (see press release for complete list) and made Row East London happen.
