Kate Worthington, Westminster House Youth Club Leader
We help schools establish out of hours clubs to give young people the opportunity to continue their programme of physical activity for their own reasons.
They may be training for another sport, doing it as part of a weight loss programme – e.g. following on from a MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do it!) programme, or just for fitness and fun!
The LYR Active modular programme can be delivered by any trained individual – teachers, other school staff, parent volunteers and even older students. Training takes a day [see Coach training for more information].
Our Community Sports Coaches help and support school coaches to launch and run the indoor rowing club – keeping it fresh and fun!
