London Youth Rowing were invited to attend a Well Being day held at Lillian Bayliss old school hub in Lambeth. Four schools brought children to the event where they had a chance to try various sports including indoor rowing and attend workshops in healthy eating, healthy living.
We challenged all the young people to row on their own first and then put them in groups to take part in the relay race.

We took along with us a couple of guys from London Youth’s Future Jobs Fund who had been trained the day before on how to coach young people on a rowing machine at one of our training sessions. They were keen to learn more about the race kit and got thoroughly involved with this noisy and exciting event. London Youth are interested in introducing indoor rowing to some of the Youth clubs in Lambeth and see the racing on the big screen as the way to get their young people active. Watch this space..
