Rowers take to the streets of Edinburgh for LYR

Two rowers aim to defeat the science of their sport and take on a different sporting challenge in aid of Adaptive Rowing at London YouthRowing.
One cold winter morning on the frosty Thames whilst chipping the ice off ourblades we were in search of
something to harden us up that bit more.
By competing in the Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May 2009 we are seeking tofacilitate the Adaptive Rowing Programme at London Youth Rowing.
Louise Arnold, a seasoned marathon runner had just returned from completing the Nice-Cannes marathon and was looking for her next challenge.
Deb Briercliffe had bravely/naively booked the Barcelona Challenge- her first Ironman Distance Triathlon, and was in search of a crazy companion to hit the distance of the running element.
On that fateful day, two athletes were born.
